cardiff university 10th annual event and celebration
mohammed bin Rashid academic medical center
With diabetes affecting 1 in 11 adults across the globe, this is a challenge faced by all international healthcare systems in both the developed and developing nations. Cardiff University recognizes the need for promoting diabetes care globally and has been delivering one of the longest established online courses in diabetes to the international community. Our programme is founded on the curriculum recommended by the International Diabetes Federation and provides education that is innovative, evidence-based, and clinically relevant for individuals and teams pursuing careers as experts, leaders and innovators in the field of diabetes.
The Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Diabetes was established in 2008, attracting multi-disciplinary healthcare professionals from around the globe whilst helping to develop them professionally as they become part of an expanding clinical network committed to delivering the highest standards of care in the field of diabetes. The programme is delivered online allowing flexibility of learning for working healthcare professionals, as well as opportunities for global interaction with peers and experts in the field. Over time the programme has evolved to cover wider general and sub-specialist areas within diabetes, thus offering greater choice so students can tailor their education to their individual learning needs.
We are pleased to host our 10th anniversary in Dubai in September 2018 to celebrate the achievements of our programme, partners and alumni whilst hosting an exciting educational meeting with expert sessions facilitated by international leaders in diabetes care and thought-provoking discussion in the challenges facing us daily with diabetes management.
We look forward to welcoming you to this event as we all work together in our efforts towards the prevention and care of people living with diabetes.
